New research shows how neurodivergent people experience shared urban spaces, and these insights are helping strength urban accessibility. Footpaths were recorded as the most challenging aspect of everyday environments due to their unpredictability and lack of structured, formal norms. Shared zones also posed difficulties. To improve accessibility, techniques such as increased greenery and other visually interesting targets helped reduce stress, which leads to a more inclusive community.
