The Australian Constructors Association (ACA) welcomes the Federal government’s announcement of consultation on new industry standards, describing it as a once‑in‑a‑generation opportunity to deliver lasting reform across the construction sector. ACA Chief Executive Officer Jon Davies said the proposed standards, focused on quality, productivity, mutually beneficial / lawful behaviour and safe, secure well-paid jobs, are an important step toward addressing entrenched issues that have undermined confidence and performance across the industry.
