Project Description
A carefully proportioned new pavilion of timber and concrete is strategically positioned overlooking the school oval and play spaces to reflect the importance and openness of this new innovation and learning centre. The proposed building is constructed primarily of exposed mass timber and timber facade shading elements. The building draws reference from the site and captures the identity of the campus. As an Innovation and Learning Centre, the project is designed to generate an environment that pursues the notion of learning and creates a sense of cohesion and identity. Ascertaining innovative ideologies through a promotion of different teaching methodologies and learning styles is encouraged to provide a welcoming environment that resonates strongly with those who use the space.
